Prepares product specific applications material to be used by EPD and GD SATCOM sales teams.5. Ensures product data sheets are up to date and posted on the GD SATCOM website.6. Gathers marketing and competitive data via customer feedback and Internet investigation.7. Provides product training as required to internal and external sales teams as well as external customers.8. Generates product-training materials as required to enhance the EPD sales.9. Prepares product quotes for submission to customer and states payment terms.10. Reconciles customers purchase order with specifics of quote.11. Qualifies customers and sales opportunities for the company.12. Coordinates activities with other departments/divisions relative to securing sales. 13. Maintains complete and thorough working knowledge of company products and customer needs.14. Generates and follows-up on leads via direct customer interface.15. Gathers pricing feedback and information from customers in order to provide inputs with regard to product market pricing.16. Uses computer database programs proficiently to track sales data.17. Maintains professional decorum while talking with customers, both in person and over the phone.18. Responsible for specific account activity as defined by Sales Manager, subject to adjustment.19. Provides input to management regarding customer needs that cannot or are not currently being met.20. Attends and professionally represents the company at organized events, making sure that adequate materials are made available for distribution, and that attendance at these off site events is timely.21. Compiles weekly or monthly reports as determined by management.22. Provides regular Input to Customer Satisfaction Database.23. Responds to customers Request For Quotes (RFQ's) within 3 days and advises them of the status of customer issues and questions. 24. Travels as assigned to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders and ensures that travel agendas are clearly and professionally organized. Maintains professional dress, image and decorum during these trips.25. Makes productive suggestions for improvements in Sales and Marketing area.26. Prepares and delivers all required data at scheduled meetings in the format required.27. Ensures that customer visitations set up by Sales are clearly and professionally organized and coordinates company tours, alerting the receptionist and all departments of the impending tour.28. Keeps management appraised of industry trends via data gathering on competitors, customer comments relative to product development and articulates this data clearly at regularly scheduled inter-department meetings or in an appropriate manner.29. Actively solicits and uses information such as newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites and other sources to obtain customers.30. Displays or demonstrates products, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.31. Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of and following firm's production and delivery schedules.32. Works to keep account activities and literature up to date.33. Coordinates on-site customer training with applicable departments.34. Enters new or potential customer data and ensures current data is routinely updated for existing customer in the Sales & Marketing computer database.35. Receives customer problems and contacts pertinent individuals to solve problems with deliveries, shipping issues and other product related issues and contacts customer with all information obtained.36. All other duties as assigned.Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Electronics and SATCOM experience preferredLanguage Ability:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Math Ability:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
